About The PhotographerGlenn Bisdee is self-taught with 15 years of travel and informal shooting behind him. More 'formal' training by Metallica's photographer Jason Reposar in Hawaii and Australia gave Bisdee the inside knowledge of more specialized studio advertising photography. 'It was an an interesting learning curve, working with the best and shooting the stars.'Based in Nelson, New Zealand Bisdee puts his marketing and advertising photography skills to work in a variety of genres; wedding, product, fashion, lifestyle, and advertising. Nelson is now home but 'Having traveled over 40 countries and many an ocean I'm very used to waking up in strange locations.' 'I like to look at advertising photography not only as an art form but a sales technique that has to be dynamic enough to stand out in this commercial world we live in and a photo is not just a thousand words but after a million eyes'. After finishing a marketing Degree at Massey University, New Zealand he worked on sets in Los Angeles for numerous movies and t.v. programs, fished in Alaska, built penthouses in Parklane, sold a bit of jewellery to Harrods London, traveled to timbucktoo and back before returning to his homeland, Aoteroa, to pursue his passion.
